Nobody at the Reference Desk

I need help and no one is at the information desk this morning. It’s 8:30am and I’ve been waiting since 7:45!!!!!!!

Hi, early morning scholar,

Sorry you didn’t get the help you needed early in the morning on Monday.  Due to a most unusual series of events – scheduled vacation days, teaching assignments and our 8 AM person calling in sick – there was, literally, no one available in Reference to assist anyone until I came in around 8:30.  This rarely happens,  but that is small consolation to you.

I hope you’ve been able to get the information that you needed from another source.  If, however, you still need assistance, please come back to the Reference Desk or call us at 973-720-2116.  Or, better yet, e-mail me directly (duffyb@wpunj.edu)  and I’ll work on your problem myself.

We pride ourselves on having one of the best and most responsive Reference Departments among all the colleges in New Jersey but, unfortunately, even we stumble sometimes. I hope we can make it up to you.
